Don't mess about, when you see or hear the call for your letter, go back to your vehicle, get your passports ready, removed from cases, follow the 'FRANCE' signs, you'll likely queue for a short time before getting to the UK border agency booth for passport checks and then the French customs booth who'll likely wave you through if you have a UK passport. Drive on the right, stay right unless you are overtaking, don't hog lanes, this is not the UK now. If caught speeding, you'll be fined, on the spot, if a fair bit over, they may impound your car.less
